About us

The Military/Combat Stock Footage Library is the largest non-government motion picture archive devoted to the wars of the 20th Century, including WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Falkland Islands, Israeli/Mid East conflicts, Persian Gulf, and Desert Storm. The Library’s materials are stored on more than 1,400 video masters.

Customers have included: ABC Broadcasting, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, A&E Cable Network, Discovery Channel, Reader’s Digest, Time Magazine, Boeing Aircraft, PBS/Tokyo Broadcasting, others, as well as foreign and US Government Agencies.

Subject matter also includes a large inventory of civil aviation material as well as NASA space exploration coverage.

Aircraft includes the Wright Brothers, ragwing Spads and Jennies of WWI, the entire air campaigns of WWII; the Battle of Britain, Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima, The Flying Tigers, and the "1,000 Plane Raids" of WWII and the dogfights of MIG Alley in Korea. Air strikes and attack helicopter footage of the Vietnam era as well as the smart bomb strikes in Iraq occupy a considerable portion of the Library Archives.

US Navy Aircraft Carrier

Naval Warfare material covers subject matter from pre WWI through the modern day missile cruisers.The earliest submarines as well as the "wolf packs" of WWII and contemporary nuclear subs of the US and Soviet Union (Russia) are integral parts of the Library. The first Aircraft Carriers are archived as well as the savage battles of the Coral Sea, Midway, and the "Mariannas Turkey Shoot". The "River Rat" patrol firefights of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta are included in great detail.

Ground Combat material includes: Trench warfare of WWI, Eastern and Western Fronts of WWII; the Invasion of Poland, the Fall of Paris, Dunkirk, El Alamien, Stalingrad, Anzio, Normandy, The "Bulge", Remagen, Burma, Corregidor, Bataan, Leyte, Okinawa, Tarawa. Archival motion pictures of the Inchon Landing, Khe Sanh, the Tet Offensive, The Iraq/Kuwait conflict and the evolution of tank warfare from WWII to Desert Storm are all part of the Military/Combat Stock Footage Library’s remarkable resources.

We welcome inquiries as to research fees and terms for acquisition of sub-mastered dupes produced on BetaCam SP, which are available to international clients without add-on licensing fee requirements.
